The Type B FIBC provides grounding-free electrostatic dissipation, improving operational safety while maintaining a simple and cost-efficient design.

 

Using high-strength PP woven fabric as the base material, an anti-static masterbatch is uniformly blended into the polypropylene melt during extrusion. This process reduces the surface resistivity of the fabric.

 

Under normal ambient humidity conditions, the bag surface attracts trace moisture from the air, forming a thin conductive film. This film enables rapid dissipation of electrostatic charges generated by friction during filling, handling, and transportation, effectively minimizing the risk of ignition caused by spark discharge.

  Application Scope & Cost Advantage

Compared with Type C and Type D anti-static FIBCs, Type B FIBCs feature a simpler manufacturing process and offer a significant cost advantage, making them ideal for cost-sensitive applications.

 

However, the electrostatic performance of Type B FIBCs is humidity-dependent. Under low humidity conditions, static dissipation efficiency may be reduced.

 

Therefore, Type B FIBCs are strictly limited to low-risk environments where:

  • Dust Minimum Ignition Energy (MIE) is ≥ 3 mJ
  • No flammable gases, vapors, or solvents are present

For high-risk or hazardous environments, Type C or Type D FIBCs are strongly recommended.
